CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR GRANITE AND MARBLE

Granite Kitchen Worktops Care & Maintenance

Wipe away spillages immediately, especially those of oil, strongly coloured food and drink and acid spillages, such as vinegar.

Never use abrasive cleaning products such as metal pads, scouring detergents or wire wool on the granite worktop, as these can affect the finish over time. Also avoid alkaline and chlorine based cleaners and never use bleach. Granite is easily maintained with a damp cloth and for more stubborn stains, the use of a mild or neutral detergent will usually be sufficient to remove them.

Do not allow the build up of salt or detergent on your granite worktop.

Do not expose the granite to excessive heat, it is recommended that you use a pot stand when taking pans off the heat.

Over time, it is natural for the sheen of your granite worktop to change, depending on the usage it endures. This can be easily restored by using a granite polishing cream.

QUARTZ CARE & MAINTENANCE

Even though quartz surfaces resists permanent staining when exposed to common household liquids (such as wine, vinegar, tea, coffee, lemon juice and soda) or fruits and vegetables, it is recommended to wipe up food and liquid spills as soon as possible. Remember, it is always easier to wipe up a spill than to have to deal with a dried-in stain.

For daily cleaning of your quartz surfaces use a damp white cloth and, if necessary, a small amount of non-bleach, non-abrasive liquid household cleanser or a household vinegar/water solution (always follow the manufacturers dilution instructions).

For stubborn spills, use a household vinegar cleaner together with a non-abrasive cleaning pad. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue and dry with a white paper towel or a white cloth. Repeat if necessary.
